Why Pine

Pine has been the first choice in softwoods used in UK house building
for many years.  Whether it be for luxury bespoke homes or space
saving apartments, pine is by far the most popular timber.



As well as being flexible, easy to paint and an attractive timber, pine is one of the
few environmentally friendly  woods used in conservatory production; along with
the more expensive oak option or other softwoods such as western red cedar.
Many of the mahogany substitutes that are being harvested and used to
manufacture a conservatory or orangery represent a real threat to
the environment in Africa, Indonesia and Latin America.
